Precautions for the use of twin-screw extruders

For the circulating water of the cooling system of the twin-screw extruder barrel, distilled water or softened water must be used, and water from other sources must be used. The screw can only be opened at a low speed, and the idling time cannot exceed two minutes. After feeding, the rotating speed can be gradually increased after the material is discharged from the die hole of the standby head. When the pressure of the machine head exceeds the set value, the material pressure alarm signal light will light up, and alarm, and the machine will stop automatically.

When there is material in the machine head, it must be heated, and the installation and disassembly can only be carried out after the material is softened. There is also an electrical interlock between the feeding motor and the main motor, that is to say, when the main motor of the feeding motor does not stop, the main motor cannot stop; when the main motor does not start, the feeding motor also cannot start. The main motor control cabinet of the twin-screw granulator has the function of overcurrent protection, which has been set before leaving the factory and does not need to be set again. In addition, the twin-screw granulator also has a mechanical protection device.

The twin-screw extruder is running. Be sure not to bring any metal impurities into the raw materials used for production. There is an electrical interlock between the oil pump motor and the main motor, that is to say, when the main motor does not stop, the oil pump motor cannot stop; if the oil pump motor does not start, the main motor also cannot start.
